The Giralda does not have traditional stairs for most of the ascent. Instead, visitors climb a series of ramps originally designed centuries ago to allow access on horseback. However, the climb still requires moderate physical effort, especially during warmer months.

Yes. Once the guided tour has finished, guests may remain inside the Cathedral during opening hours to continue exploring independently.

A valid original ID or passport is required, as tickets are nominative and identity checks may be carried out at the entrance. Comfortable footwear is also recommended for the Giralda climb.

Yes. Seville Cathedral is an active religious monument, so visitors are expected to dress respectfully.
Shoulders must be covered inside the Cathedral, and very short clothing is not permitted. Mini shorts or skirts are not allowed for either men or women. Women should avoid clothing that leaves the knees exposed, while men may wear regular shorts as long as they are not excessively short.
During the summer months, some visitors arrive wearing sleeveless tops or clothing considered too revealing for the monument. In these cases, shawls are sometimes available for purchase at the Cathedral entrance for approximately €2 in order to cover the shoulders if needed.
Access may be denied by Cathedral staff if clothing is considered inappropriate for the monument.
