Triana Walking Tour
We’ll meet by the Guadalquivir River and begin our private walking tour discovering the close relationship between Seville and its river before crossing the iconic Isabel II Bridge into Triana, one of the city’s most distinctive historic neighbourhoods.
Throughout the experience, we’ll explore the history, traditions and character that have shaped Triana over the centuries. We’ll discover its connection with sailors and the voyages to the Americas, its ceramic tradition and flamenco heritage, as well as some of the darker chapters of its past, including the presence of the Spanish Inquisition.
We’ll walk through some of Triana’s most characteristic streets and places, learning how this neighbourhood developed its own strong identity on the opposite bank of the Guadalquivir. Along the way, we’ll also talk about local traditions, religious brotherhoods and the importance of Triana in Seville’s popular culture.
As this is a private tour exclusively for your group, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to interact with your guide, ask questions and enjoy the experience at a relaxed pace.
After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, we’ll finish the tour near the historic Church of Santa Ana, in the heart of Triana.
